The Earn-a-Bike program provides individuals who live or work in North Natomas with the opportunity to participate in a hands-on bicycle course to earn $450 towards a new bicycle. The program is application based, and is open to those 18 and over, looking to use a bicycle to get to work, take their kids to school, visit friends, run errands...you name it. We want to help people swap vehicle trips for bicycle trips.
The 14-hour course covers topics in three main areas: bike maintenance, bike handling, and traffic skills. The course is taught by League of American Bicyclists certified instructors and held at Inderkum High School.
